Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a new Accommodation and Operational Support Assistant to join our ONCAMPUS Operations team at Cambridge Education Group.

The role involves the day-to-day administration of accommodation and operational support for the Cambridge Education Group (ONCAMPUS and Managed Campus) portfolio. The role involves responsibility for assisting with the administration of Accommodation and Guardianship bookings for students and that these processes are carried out within turnaround times. The role involves elements of customer service, sales, database & spreadsheet management. Occasional travel may be required.

The role is on full-time, permanent basis. The team is based in Cambridge and working from the office will be expected for at least 2 days per week.

The salary is circa £24,000 per annum + a potential 10% bonus on
performance related to the role

Key responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day administration of accommodation services through inboxes and phone line within agreed service level commitments
  • Data-matching, creating and updating student records
  • Pro-active selling of accommodation to reach set targets.
  • Attend and occasionally lead on weekly/monthly accommodation calls with providers and study centre colleagues.
  • Use of property management software to process enquiries and bookings
  • Pre-arrival administration and support for under 18 arrivals with a focus on guardianship
  • Providing exceptional customer service to internal colleagues and external clients
  • Coordinating payments and invoices for pre-arrival support services
  • Work with internal colleagues and external accommodation providers to resolve student issues (accommodation-related and behavioural)

Person Specification & experience we look for:

  • Proven delivery of good customer service, preferably to international students (essential)
  • Proven experience of administrative work in a fast paced environment (essential)
  • Experience of dealing with people in a variety of complex/difficult situations (essential)
  • Strong communications skillset (essential)
  • Excellent attention to detail (essential)
  • Good numeracy and IT skills with a familiarity of Microsoft Office, particularly in Word / Excel (essential)
  • Proactive and able to prioritise and manage deadlines effectively (essential)
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills (essential)
  • Flexibility and willingness to undertake and learn new tasks (essential)
  • Cultural sensitivity and an understanding of dealing with clients from international backgrounds (essential)
  • Excellent team player, who is happy to assist other members of the team (essential)
  • A friendly and professional manner (essential)
