Are you an experienced and dynamic A&E Consultant seeking a rewarding opportunity to lead and deliver high-quality emergency care? Day Webster Recruitment Agency is currently recruiting for a dedicated A&E Consultant to join a prestigious healthcare institution.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert clinical leadership and supervision in the assessment, management, and treatment of patients presenting to the emergency department
  • Oversee the delivery of timely and efficient emergency care, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and national guidelines
  • Lead and participate in the resuscitation and stabilization of critically ill or injured patients, demonstrating proficiency in advanced life support techniques
  • Supervise and support junior medical staff, including speciality trainees, foundation doctors, and medical students, in the provision of emergency care
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including nursing staff, allied health professionals, and paramedics, to optimize patient outcomes and experiences
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of service improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality and safety of emergency care delivery
  • Engage in teaching and training activities for medical students, junior doctors, and other healthcare professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development
  • Participate in clinical governance activities, including audit, morbidity and mortality review, and risk management, to maintain and improve standards of care

Requirements:
  • Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) and inclusion on the Specialist Register for Emergency Medicine
  • Fellowship of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine (FRCEM) or equivalent qualification
  • Extensive experience working in emergency medicine, with a strong foundation in acute care and trauma management
  • Advanced skills in resuscitation, airway management, and procedural sedation, with certification in advanced life support (ALS)
  • Leadership qualities, with the ability to inspire and motivate multidisciplinary teams in high-pressure and dynamic environments
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and colleagues
  • Commitment to patient safety, clinical excellence, and continuous quality improvement in emergency care services
