Requirements of a +16 SEND Teaching Assistant:

  • Experience working with children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities
  • Ability to provide support in classroom activities and individualized learning programs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities of a +16 SEND Teaching Assistant.

  • Assist in implementing tailored learning plans for students with SEND
  • Provide one-on-one support to students as needed
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to create an inclusive learning environment
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the SEND Coordinator
