The Opportunity

This online tutor role is perfect for someone looking to step away from the classroom and make a difference to the lives of disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners. We are looking for a tutor who holds experience in delivering maths lessons across Key Stage 3 and 4.

At Prospero Teaching it is our mission is to raise the standard of educational support offered to vulnerable young people in the UK. We are looking for 1:1 tutors who are eager to work with children and young people with a variety of learning needs with a creative, flexible and holistic approach to raise attainment and drastically improve the outlook of their educational journey.

The successful 1:1 tutor will have outstanding teaching skills both in the classroom and when delivering innovative and engaging online learning and a passion for helping students from a range of backgrounds to develop their Maths & English skills.

Contract/Position Details:
· Location - Face to Face
· Position - 1:1 Tutor
· Type of work - Contract
· Start date - ASAP
· Duration / Likely Duration - Until sufficient progression is made
· End date (if applicable) - N/A
· Contract type - Temporary
· Full-time/part-time - Part time (dependent on pupils needs)
· Minimum rate of pay - GBP25 per hour
· Hours - Timetable can vary dependent on pupil availability

Experience, Training and Qualifications of the 1:1 Tutor:
· QTS or equivalent
· A minimum of 1 year UK classroom experience
· Be confident teaching GCSE classes online
· Provide a firm but fair approach
· Have recent safeguarding training or willing to undergo Prosperos course

To be eligible for this role, the potential 1:1 Tutor must:
· Hold the right to work in the UK
· Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
· Provide two professional child-related references.
