Secondary 1:1 Teaching Assistant - Canterbury

Academics, Canterbury are currently working with a reputable secondary school in Canterbury who are seeking dedicated and passionate 1:1 Teaching Assistants to join their team. The ideal candidates will have experience working with students in a one-on-one capacity, providing tailored support to meet their individual learning needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with an assigned student to support their academic and personal development.
  • Assist in implementing individualised education plans as directed by the classroom teacher/SEN Lead.
  • Provide feedback to the teacher/SEN Lead on student progress and any concerns that may arise.
  • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment for the student.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a teaching assistant or in a similar role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience and empathy when working with students.
  • Ability to follow instruction and work effectively as part of a team.
