Are you a qualified Teaching Assistant with prior experience in nursery, SEN, or 1:1 settings? This opportunity based in Lytham St Annes is set to begin, offering a chance to work one-on-one with a nursery pupil.

In this position, your role is pivotal in providing essential support to a non-verbal child in the nursery setting, necessitating a consistent and dedicated approach. Your extensive experience in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and providing one-on-one assistance to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is highly valued. We are in search of a candidate who can exhibit unwavering commitment, reliability, and excellent attendance, alongside the ability to adapt to the individual needs and interests of the child. Your capacity to cultivate motivation and foster engagement will be instrumental in the success of this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilisation and development of 1:1 resources.
  • Experience working with SEN pupils
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and TA's to organise appropriate activities.
  • Liaise with other professionals such as Teacher's, TA, specialist support staff.
  • Work closely with other LSA's and support staff.
  • Work with classes, small groups and with children on a one to one basis.
  • Prepare and develop class displays.
  • Keep up to date records of the pupil's progress and contribute to the child's EHCP plan.
  • Create a calm environment where learning can take place.

Essential requirements:

  • Work on a 1:1 or small group basis with children who have Special Educational Needs
  • Experience of working with young people.
  • Be comfortable and confident in managing challenging behaviours.
  • Ability to engage with, and build rapport with young people.
  • Be creative, proactive and flexible in their supporting style.
  • TA qualified. L2/3.
