1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Gloucester, United Kingdom
Contract Type: Temporary Working, 3 days a week (Wednesday-Friday)
Working Hours: 8:50 AM - 3:20 PM

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a local Gloucester primary school. In this role, you will provide personalised support to a pupil with special educational needs (SEN) in a one-on-one setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the identified pupil, tailoring support to their individual needs.
  • Assist with academic tasks, social interactions, and emotional well-being.
  • Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised strategies.
  • Monitor progress and adapt interventions as necessary.
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere within the classroom.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous experience working with children, particularly those with SEN.
  • Qualifications: Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (preferred).
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing situations and student needs.
