1:1 Teaching Assistant - Year 6

Your new company
Hays Recruitment are currently supporting an Ofsted rated "Good" primary school in Ellesmere Port as they are looking to appoint an experienced and outgoing teaching assistant for a long-term temporary contract. This role is supporting a year 6 pupil on a 1:1 basis with SATs preparation and their transition to secondary education.

Your new role
In your new role you as a teaching assistant you will be supporting a year 6 pupil on a 1:1 basis. You will support them with SATs preparation, offering booster sessions in numeracy, literacy, and all other core subjects as required. Will be supporting them on a 1:1 and small group basis to ensure that they not only reach their full academic potential but to also promote their independence and interpersonal skills. You will aid in their transition into secondary education by building their self-esteem and encouraging their independence.

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this position, you must have full "Right to Work" in the UK as well as referenceable experience working with Key Stage 2, as well as:

• Experience with SATs preparation
• Experience delivering intervention and booster sessions in core subjects
• Be willing to undergo a DBS check
