Working in a fantastic secondary school supporting students with their academic studies and giving pastoral support.

The school's aim is for every child to progress, with a positive attitude, preparing them for their future after school. As a learning support assistant you will be helping students who have behavioral, emotional and social difficulties and are in need of additional support. The school's curriculum is designed to support children in becoming confident and independent learners in a rapidly changing world.

You will be offering classroom support to a child who sturggles with concerntration and has autism. You will need to ensure they’re being encouraged to develop their learning, seeking opportunities and achieving goals.

A successfull candidate must have a positive and resilient attitude towards teaching,with a willingness to demonstrate commitment to your own personal knowledge of SEMH. In addition to supporting extra curricular activities and trips. The head teacher is looking for a caring, patient individual, who will be a role model for students.

This will be a full time position working Monday to Friday 8:30 am- 3:30pm, term time only. If you prove to be an excellent addition to the team, there may be a possibility to progress to a permanent position.
