Job Type: Fixed Term Contract until March 2025.
Location: The Nest’s hub in Peckham and other sites across London as needed.
Salary: £37,000 per annum.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week.
Do you have a strong interest in working with young people and are you enthusiastic about making a significant impact in their open access service? This role involves leading early intervention and prevention efforts to enhance the mental wellbeing of children and young individuals throughout the London Borough of Southwark.
The Role
The Nest is a mental wellbeing support service tailored for young people aged 0 – 25 residing in the London Borough of Southwark. Having commenced as a remote service in May 2020, The Nest has steadily progressed, and as we embark on our fourth year of operations, we seek an experienced, adept, and motivated team manager to oversee our 0-25s provision and Nest+.
These teams are tasked with administering individual and group therapeutic interventions for individuals aged 0 – 25 from The Nest’s headquarters in Peckham, as well as schools, GPs across the borough, and various community spaces. The team manager will ensure the current services maintain the highest standards while exploring opportunities to broaden the service range by introducing drop-in sessions, group activities, and establishing parent/carer and youth steering groups.
Skills &Qualifications
- Committed to working to improve children and young people’s mental health.
- Knowledgeable and experienced in delivering programs that support young people’s mental health.
- Experienced in leading and line managing a team.
- Able to engage diverse community partners and stakeholders.
- Knowledge and understanding of the barriers young people can face when accessing mental health support.
