This is a job-share position, working three days per week to cover a 12-month maternity leave.The RoleAs Product Development Manager, you'll lead the delivery of new and exciting food concepts, ensuring projects move seamlessly from idea to launch. My client is seeking a creative and highly organised Product Development Design Assistant with experience in the craft, home, or gift industry. In this role, you will support the full product development lifecycle—from initial concept to delivered goods—working closely with the Product Development Manager and wider teams.Key Responsibilities:Manage your own product development projects and ensure all timelines, samples, and information are accurate.Use Photoshop and Illustrator (intermediate/advanced) to support design and packaging development.Liaise with suppliers, retailers, marketing, and internal teams to progress products through the critical path.Approve production samples, ensuring quality and correct specifications.Manage samples for catalogue shoots, trade fairs, and press.Create mood boards, presentations, and assist with trend research.Maintain accurate product data and documentation, using Excel at an intermediate/advanced level.Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers.Skills & Experience:Previous experience in a product development role within the craft/home/gift industry.Strong Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator skills.Excellent communication, organisation, and multitasking abilities.Confident working in a fast-paced environment with excellent attention to detail.Strong numerical and Excel skills.Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
