Join our team today.Are you looking for a new role that gets you out and about? South West Water is looking for a Meter Reader to be part of our dedicated team based in North Cornwall. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis, on a salary of £26,411 per annum plus a range of excellent company benefits and support.About the roleAs a Meter Reader for South West Water you'll be out reading customer water meters across our service area to help ensure we deliver accurate customer billing. Your primary area will be along the north coast so ideal for anyone living between Wadebridge, Bodmin, Launceston and Camelford.What you’ll be doingAccurately record and report water meter readings across our service areaDeliver great customer service for both Household and Non-Household customersOptimise your time, routes, and mileage - local knowledge area of the area helps!Complete scheduled and unscheduled meter readings to meet your targetsReport faulty meters for repair, meters not set up on the system, and suspected meter fraud cases for investigationCommunicate well with all customers and colleaguesMake sure company van and equipment are all up together and in good working orderAlways prioritise Health and Safety and follow our Home Safe guidance & proceduresWhat we are looking for:A full UK driving licenceConfident and experienced with interacting with customers face to faceAbility to deliver targets and goalsComfortable with lone working - in all weather conditionsBasic computer skills for accurately reporting meter readingsWhat's in it for you:We know that the support and commitment of our staff is key to our success so you will receive the opportunity for ongoing development and training for a long-term career with us.
