Highways Engineer We are currently looking for a Highways Engineer to join our team based in our Ashford, Kent office. The Role & Key Responsibilities You will support the engineering design service function of Project Centre in the delivery of highways and transportation projects. Assist in the delivery of a range of Transportation & Highway projects relating to preparing drawings and designs (Concept, Preliminary & Detailed Design stages) in accordance with standards & guidelinesUndertake technical tasks assigned by project managers and senior managers.Ensure tasks are delivered within deadline and to a high standard of quality.Day to day supervision and management of junior staff and assistant engineers.Co-ordination of project delivery where other design teams or service areas are involved.Support junior team members (CAD Technicians, Graduates and Apprentices).Undertake any duties as and when required to assist in the operations of PCL. Person Specification Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experienceProven experience of Highways DesignWorking towards professional membership ICE/CIHTTechnical knowledge of highways engineeringGood experience with AutoCADGood experience with Civils 3DProficiency with MS Suite, Excel, PowerPoint, WordUnderstanding of Health & Safety & CDM regulationsSelf-motivated & ability to work to deadlinesGood communication skills and a team player What's in it for you?
