This role is a 2-day / 2 nights shift pattern (12-hour shifts).Your new roleReporting to the Senior Engineer, the successful applicant will be responsible for attending breakdowns promptly and ensuring work orders and planned maintenance activities are completed. You will be involved in supporting continuous improvement initiatives and identifying the root cause of all failures. This role plays a key part in the operational team ensuring optimum production asset availability.Ensure that performance of the plant is maintained at agreed levels - an aim of 100%. Checks include start-up, line set (safety, operations, technical and engineering), routine maintenance in accordance with manufacturer's schedules, complete relevant documentation.Support production, with ideas and initiatives to optimise line efficiencyPlan and complete tasks for self from PPM and Manufacturers schedulesTo be a role model for the operators in assisting and driving the agreed standards by shift and site managers What you'll need to succeedThe successful Engineer must have a relevant Engineering qualification coupled with experience working in an FMCG environment. You will be experienced in PLC fault-finding along with a strong health and safety background. HACCP would be advantageous.
