No qualifications are required, just some experience and competency in Solid Works. They are very keen to provide on-the-job training which will progress your career within the business. This is an office based only position as they work in a collaborative way as face-to-face communication works better for them. It would be preferable if you come from an Engineering background, enabling you to better understand that environment. This is not a super creative role where the focus is on aesthetics but more about functionality and specification. Purpose of Job: To create 3 dimensional models and prepare detailed technical drawings suitable for manufacture, using CAD software and computer visuals as required.Add value to the Customer brief when the opportunity exists to do so.Provide project management support, if required, to achieve customer requirements. Key Job Responsibilities: To design and shape products for a variety of applications.To produce design specifications and technical drawings including parts lists.Design, model, and produce prototypes of new products, or make improvements to existing products.Interact with customers and perform in a professional manner and present a professional image.Recommend modifications following prototype test results.Look to improve or modify cost effective designs to current specifications.Ensure that all administration (internal/external) is complete in full and on time.Maximise efficiency via good time management. Job Title: Costs Draftsman (In-House) Location: Manchester | Hybrid Salary: £28,000 - £36,500 Hours: Full Time, 35 hourI am working on behalf of a well established, top firm. They are looking for a Costs Draftsman to work in their Manchester office with a varied caseload. You will report to the Cots Team manager and you will manage your own varied caseload of high value complex Legal costs matters, predominantly Housing Disrepair Files. Drafting points of disputes, budgets, bills of costs, schedules as well as negotiating settlements. The ideal candidate will have experience working in Costs and are ideally ACL Qualified a solicitor or legal executive. However, this is not essential. Experienced costs draftsman without qualification will also be considered. OR, if you are a Fee Earners with a solid background in Litigation looking to move into Costs, you will be considered.
