Job Title: Credit AnalystLocation: Basingstoke (5 days per week onsite)OverviewAn organisation is seeking a detail-oriented Credit Analyst to support the management and optimisation of its credit portfolio. This is a hands-on role focused on delivering data-driven insights, reporting, and portfolio performance analysis. The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders to enhance credit outcomes, improve reporting processes, and support strategic initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor and analyse credit portfolio performance and emerging risk trends Produce regular reporting on data trends and credit performanceSupport credit strategy development and origination activitiesDeliver portfolio insights and risk reporting to internal stakeholdersWork with imperfect or unstructured datasets, transforming them into meaningful insightsDevelop, maintain, and enhance reporting models and templatesContribute to continuous improvement initiatives across credit and collections functionsTechnical & Analytical SkillsStrong Microsoft Excel capability (essential) Experience with DAX coding and data modellingExposure to Power Apps is advantageousAbility to design and refine reporting modelsConfidence working with large and complex datasetsExperience & BackgroundExperience in credit analysis, collections, lending, or asset finance environmentsExposure to analytical or modelling workUnderstanding of credit risk principles and portfolio managementExperience within a collections or recoveries environment is beneficialDesirable ExperienceExposure to structured or investment-backed portfoliosExperience using reporting tools in low-template or evolving data environmentsBackground in asset-based lending or similar financial productsWorking EnvironmentOffice-based role in Basingstoke (5 days per week) Collaborative and fast-paced setting with evolving reporting requirementsSalaryCompetitive, dependent on experience SummaryThis opportunity would suit a commercially aware Credit Analyst who enjoys working with complex data, generating actionable insights, and contributing to credit strategy within a growing, performance-focused environment.Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
