We are recruiting for 2 Apprentice Gardeners to join our team to work across East and North London. Working alongside an experienced mentor, we'll support you to study and gain a Horticulture Level 2 qualification through a formal college course aligned to your role. You'll gain experience in horticulture by working with your mentor and colleagues to ensure the cleanliness, safety and security on our estates; deliver seamless quality Grounds Maintenance/Gardening services to residents of Clarion Housing Group, to improve the environment. We'll look to you to provide professional Gardening services at a portfolio of properties. These include small, medium and large estates with grassed and shrubbed areas, flower gardens, plants & hedges and areas of hardstanding. Working to high standards you'll ensure that our sites are kept clean and left hazard free at each visit.You'll need to be customer focussed as you'll act as a point of contact ensuring there is good communication with all teams and departments, reporting any apparent breaches such as anti-social behaviour and abandoned vehicles. You'll need strong communications skills and must be able to use a hand held computer device such as a smart phone/tablet. Where you have not already achieved Level 2 English and Maths, you must do so before taking the end-point assessment.For apprentices aged 19 or older, the government has made the requirement to achieve English and maths functional skills optional, effective February 11, 2025. The Role: - Build a strong understanding of clients' businesses, risk profiles, and insurance requirements to deliver tailored placement solutions. - Develop and run effective placement strategies by identifying appropriate markets and negotiating with insurers and reinsurers. - Manage and strengthen relationships with clients, underwriters, and internal stakeholders across the business. - Support the preparation of client presentations, programme structures, pricing models, and placement documentation. - Work closely with Account Executives and Sales teams to structure competitive and profitable solutions. - Identify opportunities to retain, grow, and develop existing client relationships while supporting new business initiatives. - Maintain a strong pipeline of prospects, contribute to business development activity, and support responses to new business opportunities and RFPs. - Collaborate with colleagues across specialist teams to deliver technical expertise and cross-selling opportunities. - Ensure all placements and documentation comply with regulatory requirements, internal governance, and contract certainty standards. - Maintain accurate records across relevant systems and contribute to continuous process improvement. - Keep up to date with market developments, products, and industry trends to provide expert advice to clients.What you'll bring:Solid experience in Insurance Broking or Underwriting.Strong knowledge of the London and international (re)insurance markets.Experience placing casualty, reinsurance, facultative, or complex commercial risks.A proven ability to negotiate effectively and build lasting relationships with clients and underwriters.Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.Strong analytical and technical broking capability with the ability to explain complex insurance solutions clearly.The ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a busy environment.A cooperative approach with the confidence to work independently when required.ACII qualification (or working towards it) is preferred.A second language would be advantageous.Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
