Are you an experienced Purchase Ledger Assistant looking for a part-time position? We are supporting a company based in Brentwood who is looking for an office based Purchase Ledger Assistant to work 25-27.5 hours per week. Ideally you would work either 10am - 4pm, 10am - 4:30pm or 10am - 5pm, there is flexibility on the hours for the right candidate, however you must work over 5 days. Duties will include: Maintaining a busy accounts email inboxEnsure all bank reconciliations for GBP & Euro bank accounts, Western Union and Petty Cash are completed monthly by the required deadlineUsing Sage 200 to process credit card transactions and reconcile monthly, entering bank transactions, processing supplier invoices and reconciling statementsComplete all purchase ledger processes including reconciling supplier invoices to the PO and resolving differencesPostponed VAT Accounting: Ensuring all supplier invoices are processed with the correct tax code in accordance with PVA rules, monthly reconciliation of PVA and C79 statementsManage the staff expenses process, ensuring VAT receipts are supplied, and setting up bank paymentsProvide a weekly update to the Finance Manager The salary range (FTE) is £24k - £27k depending on experience, which will be pro-rata to 25-27.5 hours per week.
