Job Purpose:This niche accountancy firm based in a prime location in Central London is looking for a new Bookkeeping Manager, Senior Bookkeeper or Business Services Manager with at least 5 years experience in a good quality accountancy firm to join their busy and growing Bookkeeping and Business Services Department. The aim is to provide first class Bookkeeping and VAT services to a wide range of very high profile clients from the Music, Sport, Film, TV, Creative, Media and Entertainment sectors. Clients will vary and either be individuals, businesses, or business interests owned by HNWI’s. Firm Culture: The firm is professional yet friendly and relaxed, with regular team bonding days and socials so you can get to know other members of staff from other departments. The firm offers hybrid working (one day a week from home and four days in the office), flexible start / finish times and actively encourages all its staff to learn new things, take on high levels of responsibility and to progress to a higher level at a rapid pace. Responsibilities: Your role will be varied and include managing your own portfolio of clients, and ensuring all clients are serviced to a very high standard. Your role will mainly be hands on / processing based. The preparation of all bookkeeping assignments for the firms clients as well as processing all client VAT returns. The role could also include processing payrolls if you have payroll experience. In the future the role could include managing, training and reviewing the work of more junior staff members. Training and support will be provided where necessary. Requirements: At least 5 years Bookkeeping and Vat return experience in an accountancy practice firm environment. Strong and up to date experience of VAT returns and bookkeeping assignments. Experience of Xero software package. Processing payrolls from start to finish is desirable but not essential.
