Accounts Assistant
My client is a leading legal recruitment firm based in the City of London. They are looking for a permanent Accounts Assistant to join there busy team and perform a variety of transactional and some month-end duties. This role is ideally for someone with 3 years plus of experience who has the ability to work individually or as part of a team. The role Processing supplier payments, invoices, into Xero accounting systemProcessing contractor and third party payments on a weekly and monthly basisSetting up new suppliers into accounting softwarePreparing financial statements showing business income and expenditureReconciling statements and rectifying inaccuraciesCompleting daily and monthly bank reconciliationsDeveloping monthly financial statements including cash flow, profit and loss and balance sheetsManaging employee expense claimsAssisting with commission payment on a weekly basisProducing and sending accurate sales invoices for clients on a weekly and monthly basisTaking care of administrative tasks, such as correspondence, filing and printingMaintaining accurate and detailed customer records and creating new customer accountsBuilding a good rapport with clients and providing an accounting team with relevant informationPreparing and entering journals into the systemSupporting the preparation of management accounts and month-end duties when required Experience and skill set Good attention to detail to enter correct data into financial records and recognise errorsComputer literacy, especially familiarity with spreadsheets, databases and accounting software such as Microsoft Office, Excel and Business Central softwareMulti-tasking and organisational skills to manage different financial duties, including the ability to prioritise tasks in order to meet deadlinesInterpersonal and customer service skills for dealing with customers, suppliers and other employees in the accounts departmentCommunication skills, including the ability to explain complex financial matters in accessible terms
