Senior Litigation Associate

This leading global law firm with offices in 27 and over 150 lawyers in the world’s largest financial centres are seeking to add an additional talented indiviual to their team.

The Department:

  • The global litigation & dispute resolution practice handles virtually any type of legal dispute anywhere in the world.
  • They advise in major national and cross border disputes, across our various core industry sectors, and offer coordinated access to more than 500 litigators worldwide.
  • In London with more than 80 lawyers the firm offers full service capabilities to seamlessly support the clients through their high-stakes disputes.
  • They also have very vast experience with all manner of courts and tribunals, including both domestic and international arbitration.

The Role

  • The team advises financial institutions on their compliance obligations and the management and avoidance of litigation risk.
  • They have acted for a number of global banks in relation to some of their highest value and highest profile cases.
  • The firm have a deep knowledge of the industry and we are highly experienced in disputes involving structured finance, derivatives, complex financial products, metals trading, prospectus disputes, asset management and corporate trust disputes.

Experience, skills and personal attributes:

  • A qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with ideally 4 - 5 years post qualification experience.
  • Experience advising corporates and financial institutions in litigation and arbitration disputes;
  • Experience in contentious regulatory investigations experience would be an advantage;
  • Ability to understand complex legal principles and apply them accordingly;
  • Ability to work effectively within an established, close-knit team;
  • Demonstrate ability to confidently interact with clients and develop business pro-actively;
  • A commercial and pragmatic outlook and a strong desire to be successful;
  • Have attained degree certificate(s) from a reputed institution, achieving a minimum grade of 2:1 or equivalent;
  • Additional language skills would be an advantage;
  • Be self-motivated and possess a very pro-active attitude is important in this team;
