The successful Science Teacher will have:

  • A PGCE with QTS in Science or equivalent
  • The ability to teach GCSE Science
  • Strong behaviour management skills

This is a brilliant opportunity for both an ECT and an experienced Science Teacher to further develop their career. As a Science Teacher you will need to confidently teach the KS3 curriculum, as well as teaching either Biology, Chemistry or Physics to GCSE level. The successful Science Teacher will have strong behaviour management skills whilst having the ability to quickly build rapport.

This inner-city academy pride themselves on building secure relationships with the local community. As a Science Teacher at this school, you will be expected to use restorative techniques which can involve speaking to parents/guardians. The successful Science Teacher will benefit from a supportive, diverse, passionate SLT who are focussed on achieving results.
