Our client is a leading distributor of Timber, Plywood and Panel Products and due to internal promotion, they are seeking a Regional sales manager to develop their sales of timber and panel products in the North West through existing and new customers. This role requires an experienced sales professional who has comprehensive knowledge of the Timber / Panel UK Markets This position is for an experienced individual who can build relationships from site to Director Level

Reporting to: Regional Director

As Regional Sales Manager your role will be to build and maintain relationships with Timber & Builders Merchants, Shopfitters, Exhibition Companies and the KBB sector, offering product, sales, and technical support and working and supporting the company’s Depot network, targeting business and assist in the training and development of your sales team.

Key Responsibilities of Regional Sales Manager

  • Drive sales to ensure all Depots are focused on achieving budgets.
  • Negotiate purchasing prices with suppliers mainly in the UK but also overseas
  • Quoting and costing customer requirements
  • Understanding customer needs and requirements, research accounts, identifying key players
  • Maintain & expand your database
  • Create monthly reports for the Management Team

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

  • Face-to-face selling and negotiation skills
  • Experience within the Timber / Panel Product Markets
  • Strong presenting skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimum of supervision
  • Effective communication skills
  • Customer-focused with sound commercial skills.
  • Good IT skills & PC literate and experience with Microsoft Outlook
