Regulatory Barrister
Client
A leading Top 100 national law firm and a leading provider of legal services to the healthcare and professional regulation sectors are seeking an experienced Solicitor or Barrister to join their leading Regulatory team.
Role
The firm act for a wide range of clients in the public and private sectors including NHS organisations, governmental and regulatory bodies , police and fire rescue services.
You will join the professional discipline team ranked in the top tier by the legal directories advising London based health and social care regulators.
You will primarily present cases at a final substantive hearing and represent regulators at interim application and case management hearings. This will include presenting cases involving dishonesty, fraud and sexual misconduct. You will also input into case direction at all stages of the investigation. You may also get involved in appeals from decisions of the regulators and will have involvement in continuous improvement projects and also involvement in training for panel members and in-house teams.
Candidate
Please apply if you are a qualified solicitor or barrister with advocacy experience. Ideally you will have experience in a professional disciplinary/fitness to practice context but candidates who can demonstrate the required skills with experience from other sectors will be considered. Advocacy experience is essential.
