Are you a 3–6-year PQE Property Litigation Solicitor seeking a new challenge with a leading Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners ranked Firm?

As a result of rising demand for Litigation services, our client is actively seeking a Property Litigation Solicitor experienced in all aspects of Property Litigation to join the Firms robust Dispute Resolution team of seven. Your expertise will play a pivotal role in supporting the expansion of the department.

You'll manage a diverse caseload for a variety of clients to include private individuals and small to medium enterprises. This entails close collaboration with colleagues across the Firm's Family and Residential Property departments, whose clients frequently includes landlords or leaseholders.

  • Commercial Lease Renewals
  • Rent Reviews
  • Residential and Commercial Landlord & Tenant Possession Claims
  • Tenants’ Rights to Purchase and Withholding of Consent by Landlords
  • Contested Probate

What will be expected from you?
  • To handle a range of property litigation / dispute resolution work
  • Communicating clearly with clients while complying with client care requirements.
  • Ensuring that time spent on all casework is promptly recorded
  • To ensure on conclusion of cases that they are billed and payment is recorded
  • Dealing with all routine correspondence, negotiations and advocacy
  • Undertaking appropriate administrative tasks
  • Providing supervision where appropriate and/or reporting to supervisors when supervision is needed

Is this the position for you?
  • Experience of a full range of property litigation matters (including acting for landlords in possession, disrepair and tenancy dispute proceedings), leasehold properties (including formal lease extension procedures, service charge disputes, breach of lease covenants and conditions and dispute resolution)
  • The ability to conduct to own advocacy at the county court or tribunal would be beneficial
  • Exposure to privately paying work with individuals and small to medium sized businesses
  • Knowledge of alternative funding arrangements such as CFAs and DBA’s would be desirable
  • Experience of marketing or networking in previous legal roles and willingness to be involved in business development would be desirable
