About the role
We are currently recruiting for a Payroll Coordinator, to join our HR Team at our Kemsley site. Reporting into the Senior HR Business Partner this role will input data into the internal systems, ensuring all employees on the site are paid on time and correctly.
Key accountabilities
Responsibilities include (but not limited):
- Receive and sort the payroll data submitted on a weekly/monthly basis.
- Check hours and details for entry on the payroll system.
- Run site level payroll on the internal system, working closely with and supporting the Shared Service Centre.
- Prepare wage payments on a calendar-monthly basis.
- Liaise with Departmental Managers to sort any potential payroll issues.
- Deal with queries from employees about hours, overtime, holidays and sickness.
- Complete Sickness and Holiday records on the appropriate approved HR systems and prepare sickness statistics for monthly reporting to the wider HR Community.
- Support the implementation of payroll or HR projects and initiatives.
- Assist the Accounts Department and the Shared Service Centre in all areas as reasonably required.
- Any other duty as required by the line manager commensurate with the role.
About you
- Strong administrative experience in a similar position. (Advantageous: Business and/or financial administration related qualification)
- Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines is essential.
- Competent user of MS Office, particularly Excel (desirable for regular reporting)
- Flexible and proactive attitude.
- Capable of challenge and holding others accountable.
- Ability to interact effectively and communicate well at all levels.
- Strong attention to detail.
This is a full-time on-site role, 5 days a week Monday to Friday.
