Position: Learning Mentor

Location: Greenwich, London

Start Date: Immediate

Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term (Until the end of the academic year)

Salary: Dependent on Experience

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children in an educational or similar setting.
  • Enhanced DBS check on the update service.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to support student development.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students, helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.
  • Develop and implement tailored intervention strategies to support students' academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, teachers, and other stakeholders to create a supportive learning environment.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing regular feedback and reporting to relevant parties.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to identify areas for intervention and support in line with individual student needs.
  • Promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning through proactive intervention and encouragement.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of school-wide strategies for student support and inclusion.
