Responsibilities:
As a Learning Mentor, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting the holistic development of our students. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing one-on-one or small group support to students who require additional assistance with their learning or social-emotional development.
- Implementing tailored intervention strategies to address individual student needs and promote their academic progress.
- Building positive relationships with students, acting as a mentor and advocate for their well-being and success.
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and external agencies to develop and implement personalised support plans for students.
- Monitoring student progress and behaviour, providing feedback and guidance to promote positive outcomes.
- Assisting with the implementation of school-wide initiatives aimed at enhancing student engagement and achievement.
Requirements:
To excel in this role, you'll need:
- Previous experience working with children or young people in an educational or youth setting.
- A passion for supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of young learners.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- A valid DBS certificate registered on the update service.
- Flexibility, resilience, and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
