Are you ready to shape the future of a well-known organisation? Reed is seeking an HR Business Partner who will be instrumental in fostering a culture of sustainable change and transformation within the transport sector. As a HR Business Partner, you will be pivotal in supporting the senior leaders to not only meet but exceed the short-term business targets and long-term strategic goals.

Salary: £48,000 - £53,000 per annum.

Location: Birmingham (Occasional travel required nationwide).

Hours: 40 hours per week.

Hybrid working: 3 days in the office, 2 days working from home.

Purpose of the HR Business Partner:

  • Empower senior leadership by enhancing organisational capability.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to effectively deploy HR initiatives around Employee Relations.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, guiding stakeholders with expertise and insight.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Craft People Plans that drive cultural and transformational change, aligning with business objectives.
  • Offer strategic HR consulting to key stakeholders.
  • Lead talent discussions with senior teams to bolster team performance and skill development.
  • Leverage data and metrics to inform strategic planning and support change management.
  • Partner in the execution of HR Business Partnering and cyclical HR processes.
  • Provide complex case management support and liaise with HR Services and Legal Advisors.
  • Promote the comprehensive HR service offerings, ensuring adherence to the service model.
  • Maintain positive relations with Trade Unions and support the IR team’s efforts.
  • Manage business change processes effectively from inception to implementation.

Key Relationships:

  • Engage with Executive Directors, Heads, and Managers to influence and strategize.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Ops & Business Partnering for guidance.
  • Work closely with the HR Services Manager for administrative support.

Person Specification:

  • CIPD qualification is an asset.
  • Degree qualified or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience working with Trade Union collaboration is a must.
  • Extensive HR technical knowledge, including employment law.
  • A specialist within complex ER case management  
  • Skilled in data analysis and presentation.
  • Expertise in developing independent solutions for complex issues.
