HR Advisor Position Available Within the Education Sector

Are you a proactive HR professional looking for a dynamic role? Reed is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join a dedicated team within the education sector. This pivotal position offers the chance to deliver comprehensive HR support across various departments, guiding both managers and staff through a multitude of HR services and activities.

Salary: Permanent: £28,000 - £31,000 per annum/ Temporary: Up to £36,000 per annum (long term basis)

Location: South Birmingham

Hours: 36.5 hours, 5 days per week in the office (hybrid working not available)

Key Accountabilities:

  • Provide advice on employee life cycle, ensuring adherence to policies and employment law.
  • Collaborate with HR Admin for recruitment and onboarding.
  • Handle HR documentation, maintaining system accuracy and data confidentiality.
  • Offer first-line support for case management, escalating complex issues as needed.
  • Coordinate investigations and support disciplinary meetings.
  • Advise on sickness absence management to promote wellbeing.
  • Develop and deliver HR workshops and coaching.
  • Administer leave arrangements in line with legislation.
  • Generate regular reports and case management updates.
  • Participate in HR and operational meetings.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Uphold quality standards and contribute to strategic goals.
  • Adhere to college policies, health, and safety regulations.
  • Support student welfare and safeguarding.
  • Maintain data protection and confidentiality.
  • Engage in the appraisal and training schemes.
  • Champion the Equal Opportunity policies.

Requirements:

  • CIPD level 3 or above.
  • Enhanced DBS check/certificate required (Can be obtained)
  • ER case management experience.
  • Recruitment and onboarding experience
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Efficient time management.
  • Pragmatic and solution-focused approach.
  • Ethical and impartial in decision-making.
