30 hours per week at £12 per hour. On site working in Burton Upon Trent.

Purpose: This role supports the implementation of HR practices, policies and procedures which are aimed at maintaining a safe, positive environment, as well as the recruitment and ongoing development of the workforce.

Duties:

  • Provide support to the Human Resources Manager with all administrative related tasks including compiling letters, documents and other information for the human resources activities
  • Take responsibility for the co-ordination of the on-boarding process including induction, references, right to work, DBS documentation and probationary periods with manager.
  • Provide support to managers and colleagues on day to day queries ensuring the Human Resources Manager is aware of any matters requiring action or escalation.
  • Liaise with occupational health provider as and when required
  • Assist with the planning and implementation of learning and development events
  • Support senior staff as note taker
  • Collect data regarding sickness information, annual leave and training
  • Hold responsibility for data entry and produce regular and ad-hoc reporting
  • Administer an annual data cleansing exercise.
  • Deal with telephone & email enquiries.
  • To undertake ad-hoc duties as required
  • Maintain an efficient filing system.

Requirments

  • Develop & keep good relationships with staff and service users and be able to clearly communicate with all levels of internal and external contacts.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision and make use of agreed supervision time. Be organised, proactive and work to deadlines
  • Demonstrate a full range of administration skills
  • Operate in a non-judgemental manner and knowledge of relevant legislation in all activities.
  • Have the ability to make decisions whilst understanding when to refer to specialist support within the organisation and communicate with team members
  • Have a good working knowledge of Microsoft packages
  • To hold a full UK Driving Licence
  • Be willing to undertake any necessary training identified
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in similar role
