Group Financial Controller
Trinity House are exclusively working with a high growth Business in Gloucester to recruit a Group Financial Controller. This is a critical role, bringing rigour and structure to the finance function and helping to professionalise the business further.
This role is working for a brilliant CFO and you will be building a best in class finance function, while also supporting on an acquisitive growth journey in the next 3-5 years.
This role is suited to a professional who can build out strong finance processes and manage effectively. This role is a great stepping stone to becoming a future Finance Director/CFO.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Responsible for building out a finance function
- Responsible for maintaining and developing a high quality and optimal financial control environment across the organisation.
- Review monthly management accounts and reconciliations
- Manage and optimising cash flow for the Group
- Manage payroll, VAT & taxes for the Group
- Manage audit for the Group
- Ensuring management accounting activities adhere to group accounting policies, processes, procedures and controls.
- Be a thought leader on finance continuous improvement and develop strong relationships within the group.
Person
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA Qualified
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills with the ability to build, develop and maintain relationships.
- Strong Excel skills
- Proven track record of improving controls environment
- Experience of building, leading and developing medium sized teams
