Alumni & Fundraising Administrator, London University, Temporary, 8 week assignment, South East London. To start ASAP. £17.43ph plus holiday pay accrual. Hybrid working pattern three days in the office and two at home.

Our client, a renowned university, requires an Alumni & Fundraising Administrator to start ASAP. This role will focus on general day-to-day departmental & finance administration. As the main point of contact for alumni, the role will provide exceptional customer service and ensure alumni details are updated and interactions logged onto the database while supporting communications to alumni.

Duties of the Alumni & Fundraising Administrator will include

  • Be the main point of contact for all alumni enquires
  • Provide day-to-day administrative assistance to the wider Alumni and Fundraising team
  • Provide communications support for the alumni engagement programme, including maintaining social media
  • Administer alumni events and provide team support to supporter/VIP events
  • Maintain online community through approving profiles and promoting and delivering content to alumni
  • Update alumni records and log interactions in CRM - training will be given
  • Support research gathering projects into individuals, trusts & foundations, and companies
  • Develop and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders across the university
  • Respond to enquiries in a timely and effective manner

Skills and experience

  • Demonstrable experience in working in a high volume administrative role
  • Working in an external-facing role requiring first class customer service
  • Coordinating alumni events
  • Excellent writing skills, with the ability to adapt style to audience
  • Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities to agreed
  • Tactful, diplomatic, and discreet
  • Working within Higher Education or charity environment
  • Good working knowledge of the Raiser’s Edge or other CRM.
  • Event or volunteer management
  • Willingness to try new things and learn new skills
  • Ability and willingness to occasionally work at evenings or weekends
  • Inclusive, Collaborative and Impactful
  • Excellent planning, organisational and administrative skills
  • Computer literacy: Microsoft Office including advanced Excel & intermediate Word & Outlook
