Trinity House Group are working closely with a reputable and global automotive manufacturer in the Birmingham are. This client are currently looking for a Financial Accountant to join their first class financial team. As financial accountant you will be responsible for supporting the Plant Financial Manager in controlling plant costs and internal controls, ensuring that all plant statutory reporting requirements are met.


Main mission and results:

  • Ensure balance sheet integrity producing reconciliations in line with corporate deadlines.
  • Maintain the Fixed Asset Register ensuring additions and disposal approvals are recorded. Assets are correctly accounted for as per corporate policy, ensure assets are tagged and logged within the FAR. Arrange and attend monthly reviews with the Operational teams to ensure accurate capital expenditure forecasting.
  • Prepare overhead accruals and prepayments. Support the finance team to ensure the close is performed within the corporate deadlines with quality analysis to support and explain deviations from budget and forecast.
  • Support Plant Controller in implementing/maintaining internal controls including full SOX compliance
  • Ensure that all health and safety policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.


Preferred skills and attributes:

  • Qualified Accountant CIMA/ACCA
  • Demonstrable Accounting Experience working in Manufacturing
  • Confident communication skills
  • Hands-on approach
  • Advanced Excel skills

Salary and Benefits:

  • £40,000 - £50,000
  • Half day on Friday
  • Training and genuine career progression
