The Department

  • The Commercial team offers legal counsel on transactions and commercial dealings vital to businesses' operations and strategic visions.
  • They deliver practical solutions to legal matters, discerning their impact on clients' commercial endeavors, exploring available courses of action, and recommending the most suitable path forward considering the circumstances, timeline, and resources at hand. This entails drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various commercial contracts and standard terms, as well as assisting clients in contract terminations.
  • The clientele spans UK and international corporations, household brands, small to medium enterprises, entrepreneurs, and trade associations.

The Opportunity

  • This role primarily entails providing advisory services, drafting agreements, and offering pre-litigation dispute advice across diverse practice areas, particularly focusing on fashion and technology.
  • It also involves handling commercial law issues, incorporating elements of IP law, public law, competition law, consumer law, and privacy law.

Responsibilities

The firm seek a Commercial & Technology Lawyer with a blend of advisory and transactional expertise, showcasing substantial experience in:

  • Drafting, negotiating, and advising on a wide array of commercial agreements, including those with an international dimension, with a specific emphasis on agreements pertinent to the fashion and technology sectors.
  • Providing guidance on agency agreements, distributorship agreements, and online platform terms and conditions.
  • Handling non-contentious intellectual property matters such as licensing, franchising, and IP ownership within commercial contexts.
