Contract: Full Time, Permanent - 37.5 hours per week
Hours: Monday to Friday between 8:00-18:00, with the occasional Saturday shift.

The Claims Management team play a crucial role in accurately assessing incident liability and managing repair processes, while maintaining a strong focus on operational targets. Joining us as a Third Party Defence Handler, you will reduce claim costs by closely managing the claim lifecycle, all while delivering a friendly and efficient service. You will interact with a diverse range of people, allowing you to adapt your approach and provide a personalised experience to our clients. 

In our defence team you will be responsible for managing your own caseload of third-party motor claims from notification to settlement. You will economically look to settle claims on best possible terms and avoid any unnecessary litigation.  management, credit hire negotiations and personal injury (OIC/MOJ) claims handling.

About You:

  • First and foremost, you will have a good understanding of the insurance claims industry, and have ideally knowledge of credit hire and personal injury claims.
  • You'll be highly conscientious and self-motivated.
  • You'll have strong questioning and negotiation skills, and be able to effectively take ownership for and prioritise your workload.
  • You'll be ambitious in wanting to learn and develop their knowledge of motor claims and fleet management.
  • You'll have excellent customer service and communication skills. You'll provide a first-class service to our clients and will help build and develop relationships.
