This prominent international law firm have a boasting a global presence through their numerous offices worldwide.

They are seeking a talented Junior Associate (NQ-2PQE) to join their antitrust/competition practice based in their London firm.

  • They renowned for their expertise in international arbitration and litigation, cross-border acquisitions, capital markets transactions, private equity funds, financings, and restructurings.
  • In London, the firm maintains a robust team comprising over 130 lawyers with the majority being UK-qualified professionals.

More about the team

  • The antitrust & competition department offers specialized counsel to clients navigating EU and UK competition law and regulatory landscapes. This includes facilitating approvals for intricate merger transactions before the European Commission and UK competition authorities, alongside managing merger clearances across diverse global jurisdictions.
  • Additionally, the team advises on contentious matters such as anticompetitive behavior, abuses of dominance, market investigations, and State aid issues.

Requirements

  • The firm are particularly interested in candidates with prior experience in a leading corporate M&A firm in London, possessing a solid track record of working with the European Commission and UK competition authorities.
  • Familiarity with coordinating merger control processes and securing foreign direct investment approvals across various jurisdictions is highly valued.
  • The role demands a dynamic individual capable of managing their own caseload while thriving in a collaborative team environment.
  • While the position is based in London, it entails close collaboration with colleagues in Frankfurt, New York, and Washington, among other locations.
