Youth and Community Worker
  • Job Type: Part-Time
  • Location: Croydon and Bromley
  • Salary: £11.44 - £12.50 per hour

We are looking for passionate Outreach Youth and Community Workers to join our team, dedicated to supporting young people and the community in the New Addington, Croydon Central, and Bromley areas. If you enjoy facilitating conversations, providing guidance, and have a sociable nature, this could be the perfect role for you.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Deliver weekly activities for young people in collaboration with the team.
  • Develop session plans and activities with the youth team in an agreed format.
  • Address safeguarding concerns promptly, following the established policy (training provided).
  • Assist with reporting and participate in weekly briefing and debrief sessions.
  • Contribute to setting up and cleaning the club space for other users.
  • Report building or equipment faults to the Team Leader.
  • Assist in marketing the project within the local area.
  • Ensure adherence to all policies and procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Ability to work in Croydon and Bromley.
  • Qualifications in coaching, youth or play work.
  • Ability to collaborate within a small team.
  • Reliability, time management, and trustworthiness.
  • Understanding of the needs of young people.
  • Proficiency in safeguarding practices.

This part-time role involves sessional work with late afternoon and evening hours, up to 12 hours per week.
