Youth Offending Team Officer

We are looking to recruit a Youth Offending Team Officer in Trowbridge.

The role is paying £28.00 per hour umbrella.
You will be required to work 37 hours per week - Office attendance 2-3 times per week

Duties:

• Managing a caseload of young people who have been referred to the Youth Offending Service.
• Undertaking comprehensive assessments to identify risks, needs, and strengths.
• Developing and implementing intervention plans aimed at reducing offending behaviour.
• Building strong relationships with young people, their families, and other relevant parties.
• Liaise and cooperate with partner agencies including schools, health care providers, and social care departments.
• Maintaining accurate records of work undertaken with young people.

Requirements:

• A degree or equivalent in Social Work, Youth Justice, Criminology, or related field.
• Experience working with young people, particularly those who have offended or are at risk of offending.
• Knowledge of child protection procedures and legislation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt to challenging situations and deal with confrontational behaviour.

FULL UK drivers license required.
