As a Young Carers Outreach Co-ordinator at Be Free Young Carers, your role would be focused on organising, promoting and leading activities for groups of young carers and also providing 1-1 support whilst contributing towards raising awareness for what is happening right here in the local community. This role will also include communication with other local agencies, schools and families, compliance with government policies, recording casework files and attending regular training too so whilst the successful candidate should live and breathe enthusiasm and fun, you should also have the ability to hold difficult conversations and communicate sensibly.

The Charity

Be Free Young Carers is the only specialist organisation supporting young carers in Oxfordshire and receives no statutory funding. Based in Didcot, they have been supporting young carers aged 8 to 17 years across South Oxfordshire, The Vale of White Horse and Oxford City for the past 29 years through their emotional and practical advice giving.

Be Free Young Carers are completely socially driven and the whole team lives by a set of strong core values so it is important the successful candidate aligns completely with this.

Alongside an incredibly rewarding job, the successful candidate will also enjoy a generous annual leave package (28 days + bank holidays and your birthday off!) with genuine career progression opportunities, alongside the opportunity to see the effects of your work first-hand.
