Year 5 Primary Teacher

Our partner school is Bury is seeking an experienced and passionate Year 5 teacher. This exciting role begins in September and is open to ECTs keen to begin their teaching career!

The one-form entry school is located in the heart of Bury and has a large outdoor learning space where the children engage in Forest School throughout the year. The school believes in treating everyone with respect and developing children into resilient and independent learners. The school has a caring ethos where children are genuinely happy to come to school and engage with each other in a respectful manner. As a Year 5 teacher, you will be required to participate in all aspects of school life such as staff meetings, CPD and school events.

The school has developed a broad and balanced curriculum where they have aligned all topics to the National Curriculum and ensure they build upon prior knowledge. The staff have a collaborative approach to planning and support one another with planning and resourcing for lessons. The school follows the White Rose Mathematics scheme and Talk for Writing and previous experience with these schemes is beneficial. As a Year 5 teacher, you will be required to plan and deliver engaging lessons as well as maintain clear records.

This post will commence in September 2024 and you will be required to complete the academic year.

• Have QTS or QTLS status
• Have experience with KS2 classes
