Year 1 teacher KS1 Doncaster Primary Teacher full time starting Easter (April) until Summer for the summer term full time teaching role lovely school.

Academics LTD a Doncaster based Teaching agency are actively supporting a local Primary school with a temporary fixed role for a Year 1 full time half a term temporary fixed term role.

The role is to start after half term Easter April 2024 and for the right person is to run for at 1 term Summer. Potentially longer. The school are passionate about securing a warm, caring, nurturing and sensitive individual with a desire to ensure all children progress and reach their full potential. Trials and interviews being arranged. The role is to worl colaboratively with the other class teacher and work on a regular Thursday and Friday.

The role will require the successful candidate to plan, mark, assess, attend meetings and to get involved in the wider community within school life. Up to date knoweldge of the KS1 curriculum is essential and recent experience in of working in Y1 class is desirable and would be advantageous.

This school situation in fairly central doncaster with good transport links is an exciting place to teach and learn within. Ideally we are seeking a creative and calm candidate to work within this welcoming team who are all striving to ensure sucess for all. This school prides itselt on it's inclusivity. The curriculum is traditional with core subjects embded into the daily strucure but the school completements this with enrichment activities to create a happy, active and fun environment to learn. A place to get the best out of the pupils. This role is to work with Year 1 class children aged 5-6 years. The classes are mixed at this school to help ensure full coverage of national curriculum and to stretch and support students working at different levels.

Within this role there will be a large focus on English, Maths and Science, SPAG, Phonics, Maths and a focus on promoting and encouraging more independance of learning for pupils. This is a really exciting year group and key stage to work within as you get to help pupils grow in a variety of core area including coordination of laguage and speech and writing.

Ideal candidates need to hold a enhanced valid DBS or enhanced DBS on the update service. Or be willing to process a new one via Academics. The candidate is subject to relevant compliance and vetting before being able to work for Academics which the team here in the Doncaster branch are happy to guide you through.
