Yard Operative with Driving License- Immediate Start!

8:30am - 5.30pm, Monday - Friday (1 hour lunch break & AM break)

£13.00 - £15.00 per hour dependent on experience - weekly payment

Temporary to permanent position

Must have a full UK Driving Licence

We are seeking a highly motivated and reliable individual to join our clients team as a Yard Operative with a valid driving license. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various tasks within the yard facility, including but not limited to organizing and maintaining inventory, loading and unloading goods, and ensuring the overall cleanliness and safety of the yard area. Additionally, this role will involve driving company vehicles for transportation purposes as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Organize and maintain inventory in the yard, ensuring efficient use of space and easy accessibility.
• Load and unload goods from vehicles, ensuring proper handling and securing of items.
• Assist with the inspection of incoming and outgoing goods to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Operate forklifts or other machinery safely and efficiently, following all relevant safety guidelines.
• Keep the yard area clean and organized, including sweeping, debris removal, and general maintenance tasks.
• Drive company vehicles to transport goods or equipment to various locations as required.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety regulations and traffic laws.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and timely completion of tasks.

Requirements:

• Valid driving license with a clean driving record.
• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a yard or warehouse environment.
• Proficiency in operating forklifts or other yard machinery.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks in a variety of weather conditions.
