Position: Workshop Fitter

Salary: £30,000 - £34,000

Location: Biggleswade, Bedfordshire

Monday – Friday

Interaction is working with a highly  plant hire company based in Peterborough. Due to an expansion in the business my client is looking to take on multiple plant fitters to start immediately. This is a great opportunity to join a secure company that heavily invests in their team.

The Role:

  • Fault-finding and maintenance on a range of plant machinery from light machinery to heavy plant (Diggers, Dumpers, Excavators and more)
  • Responsible for identifying and repairing any faults or damage to equipment
  • Offering excellent customer service
  • Accurately updating service records during real time
  • Following health and safety to ensure a safer workplace

The Candidate:

  • Proven experience working as a plant mechanic/fitter role with a relevant mechanical qualification or time served
  • Sound and current knowledge of heavy plant machinery maintenance
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to work effectively under pressure
  • A customer-focussed approach workload and committed team player
  • A valid driving licence is preferred but not essential
