Workshop Engineer
Workshop engineer required. My client is waste management company looking to hire an experienced engineer to service and maintain their fleet of waste management vehicles. The ideal candidate will have HGV service and maintenance qualifications. Also, strong knowledge of using diagnostic testing systems including Texa and Jaltest. The role is workshop based. Ideally within a commutable distance of the Stoke depot.
Workshop Engineer Position Overview
- Inspect, service and maintain their fleet of waste management vehicles.
- Make sure all service and maintenance reports are up to date.
- Make sure all vehicles and workshop are left tidy and clean.
- Make your manager aware of any hazards or un safe equipment.
- Undertake any training that is required.
Workshop Engineer Position Requirements
- Previous experience as a mechanical fitter or technician
- Previous experience in HGV maintenance and servicing.
- Competent in using workshop equipment correctly and safely.
- Strong knowledge in using Texa and / or Jaltest diagnostic equipment.
- City and Guilds level 3 qualification in heavy vehicle and maintenance repair.
- Class 1 HGV licence would be beneficial.
- Based within a commutable distance of Stoke.
Workshop Engineer Position Remuneration
- £33,000-£36,000 salary DOE.
- Overtime available.
- 40 hours per week. (6:00-14:00 or 10:00-18:30)
- 28 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays
- Pension
