Workshop Engineer

Hertfordshire - Workshop Engineer - £35k-£40k - Engineering

Platform Recruitment has partnered with an innovator of engineering products who are looking for a Workshop Engineer to join their R&D team based in Hertfordshire. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a real engineering mind and an aptitude for learning to get exposed to a wide range of modern technology and enhance their skill set.

Main Duties:

+ Constructing prototypes per the design requirements

+ Designing specialised test stands and test equipment

+ Performing functional evaluations of prototypes and documenting the results

+ Evaluating field failures to determine root cause.

+ Carrying out test programs and field trials

Key Experience Required:

+ 5 years or more experience in a similar role

+ Strong welding/fabrication skills

+ Ability to design tests/test rigs, and conduct these tests

+ Experience with typical workshop equipment i.e millers, lathes, etc

+ Experience in any of the following would be advantageous: 3D printing, Arduino software, compliance standards, hydraulics, CANBUS

Salary/Location:

+ The salary for this position is £35k-£40k, however this may be negotiable depending on experience

+ This role is full-time, based in Hertfordshire
