Kingsley Consulting are partnered with a leading manufacturer of bespoke aluminium products for the building and construction industry, who seek a Workshop & Production Manager based in Manchester as they continue to develop and grow.
 
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum + Benefits & More
Location: Hyde, Manchester (Mon - Fri)
Reporting to: Managing Director
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage warehouse operations and fabricators in a fast-paced environment.
  • Identify and implement improvements in stock control and logistics.
  • Act as the principal liaison with suppliers and manage the supply chain efficiently.
  • Enforce a digital delivery management system and maintain company standards and procedures.
  • Extract resource requirements from construction programs and work closely with procurement and commercial teams.
  • Plan short and medium schedules related to resourcing, including labour, materials, and plant.
  • Liaise with finance to capture real-time resource costs and inform construction performance meetings.
 
Experience & Skills:
  • 5+ years of experience in logistics and supply or Construction Logistics.
  • Experience in a live production facility/ manufacturing/ Engineering work shop
  • Risk and opportunity management experience, including the implementation of change programs.
  • Effective leadership and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 Suite and comfortable learning and operating new digital systems.
  • Knowledge of logistics management, including improvement techniques.
  • Financial awareness to deliver targets and a commitment to continuous improvement in safety and sustainability performance.
