Job Description

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and experienced Woodshop Machinist to join the team in our High Wycombe Depot.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Accurately marking timber up in preparation for machinery processing, reducing waste as much as reasonably practicable.
  • Safely operating various machinery including Upcut, Chop Saw, Rip Saw, Pillar Drill and Band Saws.
  • End of production activity such as foiling, wrapping and bagging.
  • Perform statutory H&S checks on LEV system and machinery.
  • Maintain accurate records in line with FSC Chain of Custody requirements.
  • Maintain daily dialogue with the internal Sales Team on project pipeline and progress.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Ability to work confidently, calmly and safely.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Experience working with timber and Woodshop machinery highly advantageous, but not essential as full training will be given.
  • Punctuality, flexibility and positivity.
  • Comfortable working as part of a small team.
  • Basic IT skills advantageous - Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
