Are you an experienced Wire Person who would be interested in working for a leading technology company that specialises in electronic enclosures and systems for critical industries such as Aerospace, Defence and Telecommunications.

Due to company-wide growth and an extremely healthy order book our client is interested in hearing from people who have experience with wiring in the Aerospace and Defence sector. You will be working on bespoke, complex box builds, cabinets and panels.

Wire Person Requirements & Responsibilities:

  • Must have experience of Assembling, Wiring, Box building and Soldering complex high-value electronic products.
  • Previous experience of working to IPC Standards (620, J-Std, 7711/21 etc) - certifications is not essential but any experience is greatly beneficial.
  • Understand engineering drawings, wiring schedules, and circuit diagrams.
  • Familiar with military specifications and other types of connectors (such as D38999) and cable production techniques.
  • Comfortable with crimping, splicing, soldering and lacing to aerospace and defense standards.
  • Knowledge of tools and instruments of the wiring trade such as Daniels Manufacturing Cable, Connector & Crimping Tools.
  • To build wiring looms, cable assemblies and connectors from design drawings and kits to the agreed build standards and timeframes.
  • Wire cabinets and fixtures from drawings to the agreed build standards and timeframes.
  • Have good attention to detail to maintain or exceed high levels of production standards.
  • Have ESD awareness.
  • Must have experience of working in a high-technology environment.
