Welder / Fabricator

Multi Trades Recruitment is looking for Fabricator / Welders to begin work for a well-established company in the ­­­Somerton area.

About the role:

• Working Hours - 8:30 am - 5 pm.
• Pay Rate - £15 - £17ph Depending on experience.
• Long-term work for the right candidate.
• Start: ASAP.

Role Description:

The job role is quite varied and as such you will be involved with multiple processes from the start manufacture of our products, through to the packing process. This includes cutting and folding of raw materials, welding Mild steel, Stainless and Ali if possible, fitting out Feeder Pillars with backboards and locks and working closely with other members in the workshop to ensure a smooth manufacturing process.

You will also need to have the ability to work from drawings as we manufacture a good percentage of bespoke items. Design problem solving an advantage all whilst working closely with the Managing Director.

About You:

• Mig welding steel plate and tube up to a maximum thickness of 6mm.
• Press brake setting & operating.
• Guillotine operating.
• Metalworking Power tools.
• You will also be required to gain experience in setting power presses.

Fork truck license holder would be a bonus, but not essential. There would be opportunities of progression to Workshop Supervisor and expansion of CAD knowledge.
