Great opportunity to join one of the UK's leading manufacturers in its field who are looking to recruit an enthusiastic MIG/TIG Welder / Fabricator to join their team in west Cornwall in Spring 2024. Their premises are well-equipped and all staff are supported, trained and appraised to the highest levels. This position is an excellent opportunity for a dependable, experienced and enthusiastic Welder / Fabricator seeking a long-term employment opportunity in a forward-thinking, progressive organisation.

Working in the busy workshop, you will be performing skilled welding and metal fabrication work during the manufacture of high quality products.

Duties will be varied and include:

  • Assemble fabricated components using welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, or stick welding

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of the fabrication process

  • Measure, cut, and shape metal components using various tools and equipment

  • Perform quality checks to ensure that finished products meet specifications

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications:

  • Experience in metal fabrication and MIG/TIG welding processes

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

  • Basic maths skills to perform calculations and measurements accurately

  • Mechanical knowledge to understand how different components fit together

  • Proficiency in using various tools and equipment related to metal fabrication

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision

  • Safety-conscious mindset to adhere to all safety guidelines and protocol
